Hello! My name is Sharon Jaeschke and last year I retired from Southeast Valley HS after teaching for 35 years! Over the years I have instructed junior high mathematics, high school math courses, directed the Talented and Gifted program, and coached almost every sport. I have a master's degree in Mathematics Education from Iowa State University and I have mentored other teachers for the past 20 years.
I have four children. The oldest, Gerri, is graduating from medical school in May of 2022 and her husband, Josh, is becoming a nurse. My next daughter, Katie, is a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Roland-Story School. She and her husband, Collin, live in Story City with my grandsons Jack and Lane. My son, Derek, lives in Kansas. He is a pipeline welder and also runs a welding business. My youngest, Erica teaches 4-year-old Preschool at South Central Calhoun School in Rockwell City. As you can see in the pictures, we love our pets - especially rescue animals. My children had an immense effect on my teaching career. They are each very unique learners and I always worked to take their suggestions so my classroom could serve my students needs more effectively. |
